WB concludes Wolfowitz broke ethics rulesSoon after the news broke, the World Bank executive board studied the matter, came to a conclusion, and is now acting on it.The World Bank executive board has concluded that bank president Paul Wolfowitz broke ethics rules in arranging a pay rise for his girlfriend and will try to end his tenure next week, a media report said. -- Source
Why can't we do that when the president clearly violates the 4th Amendment, the Geneva Convention, or a host of other clearly established laws? Nope, we have to sit and listen to insipidly stupid lies about how nobody remembers anything, the records all got conveniently lost, 9/11 makes it OK, and it was some legal assistant's fault anyway. We know who did it, we know who was responsible, but instead of acting, we just sit around impotently and say that there's nothing we can do.
Maybe we should get those World Bank guys and hire them to run oversight.
