This is how spineless Congress has become: there's a bill that will make it illegal for intelligence agencies to wiretap Americans outside of the FISA law. Except for one thing: that's what FISA said. Clearly. So, Bush violated the law, and Congress responds by threatening to make a law that says it's not OK to violate the law.
Here's another idea: when Bush breaks the law, impeach him. Then arrest his ass and put him into jail. Or did I miss something between Bush swearing to uphold the law and the president not being above the law? Seriously, what does Bush have to do to get arrested in this town?
